'Virginia Is the Test Case': Youngkin Pushes for G.O.P. Takeover This Fall

The New York Times is reporting that Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin is using this fall's upcoming elections as a springboard to national office. He's convinced that if he can flip the VA legislature to full GOP control, he'll be in a position to make a credible bid for the presidency, maybe even next year. 

Worse yet, a GOP' trifecta' in state government -- meaning Youngkin as Governor, a Republican-controlled Senate, and a Republican-controlled House of Delegates -- would lead to disastrous policies for the Commonwealth. 

• Youngkin has pledged to pass a Georgia-style voter suppression law that would disproportionately impact communities of color -- and he peddles Trump's baseless election conspiracy theories and lies. 
• Youngkin has promised to ban abortion, which would end our status as the only state in the South without an abortion ban. 
• Youngkin supports prioritizing tax loopholes for massive corporations over lowering costs for Virginia's middle class.
• Youngkin has promised to roll back Medicaid expansion for over 745,000 Virginians, make it easier for criminals to obtain deadly weapons, and halt efforts to combat climate change.
