Dear John,
I’m sorry to be writing to you again, but we’re down to the wire and this is urgent.
Election Day is Tuesday, and we’re in a tied race in a monumental election where it is critical that Democrats hold the Virginia State Senate.
If you want me to be your Senator, it’s imperative that you go vote - and encourage your friends and family to do the same.
The GOP, which set the voting rules for this election, shut down early in-person voting today to ensure that there would be no “Souls to the Polls” marches.
So, you’ll have to show up in person on Tuesday to vote. I suggest you make a plan:
- Look up your polling place.
- Determine what time you want to be there.
- Bring your sample ballot, if you have one.
-
Ask friends to come with you.
- If you arrive late in the day, STAY IN LINE. If you are in line before 7:00pm, you MUST be allowed to vote.
-
If you haven’t registered to vote, you can use same-day registration to cast a provisional ballot. Make sure you bring an ID.
Please note that if you're having problems voting, The Democratic Party operates a Voter Protection Hotline at 844-482-8683 to help eligible Virginians cast their ballot and answer questions from voters.
Let’s bring this across the finish line, and post a win.
