This is House Democratic Whip Katherine Clark. My team and I don’t throw around the word extreme around lightly.
But since gaining the majority in the House, that’s the only way to describe the MAGA majority.
After nine months of chaos, and nearly a month of paralysis in the House without a Speaker, MAGA Republicans have continued to prioritize themselves and their political ambitions rather than serving their constituents and fulfilling their responsibilities to the country.
Their agenda prioritizes fear, division, and hate over the American people. It is dangerous and deeply unpopular. And it’s part of a national far-right movement that has become corrupted by Donald Trump and is increasingly out of touch with the values and needs of Americans and our allies around the world. In a word — extreme.
We must work together to put Democrats back in the majority. But Andrea Salinas faces an uphill battle in their reelection, and they’re one of the top targets of the extreme MAGA GOP.
We need to work together to ensure we can fight back against the millions of dollars that Republicans will pour into this election to hold onto power.
