We’re a matter of days away from critical elections across the country that will have major implications on our democracy. Here’s what you need to know:

Crucial House of Delegates and state Senate races are happening in Virginia. If Republicans take control of both branches, they will have a trifecta in the state government -- giving Gov. Glenn Youngkin the ability to pass an incredibly harmful 15-week abortion ban. The stakes in these races could not be higher.

Fundamental rights are also on the ballot in Pennsylvania, where key judicial elections are taking place. State courts have a massive impact on issues ranging from voting rights to abortion, so it’s imperative that we win these races.

In Ohio, voters will have the chance to vote “yes” on a constitutional amendment that would guarantee access to abortion rights in the state. Over the summer, Ohio voters rejected a ballot initiative that would have made it more difficult to codify abortion rights, but it’s critical that voters show up again to codify reproductive freedom.

In states like Mississippi and Kentucky, key governors’ races are on the ballot, and polls show both are close. Governors have a huge impact in determining the future of their states, and if we can win governor’s mansions in states like these -- which Trump carried -- it will be a major win for democratic progress.

As you can see, there are truly no “off years” -- these are all incredibly important elections, and we need all hands on deck to reach voters and make sure they have a plan to make their voices heard.
