Forget about the arguments on the debate stage. Forget who attacked first, and who got a bump in a poll. Friends, only one thing matters in the 2020 presidential election: that Donald Trump loses.

The most important thing in this race is that we come together to support our Democratic nominee – whoever they may be – to ensure they can defeat Trump. And let’s be clear about what we’d be losing if we fail to unify: Health care, LGBTQ rights, Roe v. Wade, education, union rights, the environment – they’re all on the ballot. But we’re still hearing Democratic voters saying they might sit the general election out if their favorite candidate isn’t the nominee – and at this point in the race, we can’t afford to take that risk.
