In 2023 alone, we’ve seen over 500 mass shootings. There have been more mass shootings in the past five years than in any other half-decade since they started tracking this data in 1966.1
We cannot continue to live in a world where multiple mass shootings a day is considered normal. This is far from normal.
It should not be easier to buy an assault weapon than buy tickets to a movie or a concert, John.
We need bold, immediate, and transformative legislation to further prevent gun violence now. Not tomorrow, not next month, but right now.
