Team,

Exciting news from the Evergreen State: Washington has just raised its minimum wage to an impressive $16.28 per hour! This is a significant step towards ensuring that workers receive fair wages, regardless of their location.

However, the sad truth remains that the federal minimum wage has not seen an increase since 2009. At the Fairness Project, we're working tirelessly alongside voters, successfully winning 10 ballot measure campaigns in eight states and localities to raise wages to a level that workers truly need and deserve.

Our commitment to ensuring workers receive a livable wage and have strong labor protections continues, but we can't do it alone. We need your input.

Should Congress raise the federal minimum wage? [[link removed]]

Far too many Americans are facing the daily struggle of putting food on the table or paying their bills. When politicians fail to act, citizens have been taking matters into their own hands, just as Washington and other states have done.

From Nebraska to California, we've demonstrated our ability to drive the change our communities crave and deserve by participating in the democratic process. As we gear up for 2023 and 2024, we need your support to ensure that the federal minimum wage is raised.

But we want to know what you think, team: Should Congress take immediate action to raise the federal minimum wage to a livable level? [[link removed]]
