John, Katie Porter's U.S. Senate race in California is unique:
The top two vote-getters, regardless of party, will advance from March’s
primary to November’s general election.
Recent polls show Katie Porter in a strong position, but around a third of
all voters are still undecided. That means there’s ample room for other
candidates to pull ahead and prevent Katie from advancing to the general
election.
[ [link removed] ]Can you make a donation to Katie Porter's campaign today to help elect
her to the U.S. Senate?
There are two big factors that could lock Katie out of the general
election:
1. Corporate Dem Adam Schiff has a huge cash advantage. At the end of the
last fundraising quarter, he reported having more money in the bank
than any other Democrat, including President Biden’s campaign.
2. Republican celebrity candidate Steve Garvey jumped into the race
several weeks ago. His personal fortune and LA Dodger fame could allow
him to win enough votes to advance to the general election.
Earlier this year, Katie Porter told PCCC members in an email, "What I
love about the PCCC is that we don’t just work together during campaign
season. We'll continue fighting together to pass universal child care and
the Child Tax Credit, make billionaires pay their fair share, and hold
Wall Street and price gouging corporations accountable."
And just a few weeks ago she wrote, "The PCCC has been one of my strongest
partners since my very first campaign for Congress."
Now, Katie Porter needs our help to keep her momentum building and reach
the millions of undecided voters who will determine the outcome of this
race. With just over four months to go until Primary Day, it’s critical
that she pull ahead soon.
