This Week's Highlights

Monday

Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) made it unequivocally clear that we need a foreign policy of peace through strength, and that we have to begin holding our adversaries accountable.

Britt said, "We have to make sure that we eradicate Hamas. Anything less is unacceptable."

Tuesday

Rep. Elise Stefanik (NY-21) highlighted just one of the many offensive antisemitic demonstrations that we have witnessed on America's college campuses over the last few weeks.

According to the New York Post, "[m]ore than 100 Columbia University professors signed a letter Monday defending students who supported Hamas’ “military action” in Israel on Oct. 7 and called on administrators to protect those students from “disturbing reverberations” on the Manhattan campus."

Wednesday

Rep. Michelle Steel (CA-45) does not want Californians forgetting about their governor's trip to China "to cozy up to the Chinese Communist Party."

According to Politico, "[m]any GOP lawmakers see Newsom’s outreach to Beijing as inappropriate in the face of bilateral trade disputes, the Chinese spy balloon incident in February and Beijing’s alignment with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine and now in the Israel-Hamas war."

Thursday

It's something you don't hear about every day: federal agencies returning money to taxpayers.

Rep. Jen Kiggans (VA-02) touted $1.2 million that she and her staff have been able to recover from federal agencies for her constituents since the beginning of the year.
