The Union Way of Life is sacred, and nobody knows that better than the United Auto Workers who spent weeks striking against the Big 3 Automakers for better contracts — and won. 🎉
In recent days the UAW reached tentative agreements with Stellantis, General Motors, and Ford. If agreed to by UAW workers, these agreements would be historic. I want to say CONGRATS to these workers on a BIG victory.
I was proud to visit UAW picket lines in Michigan, in Ohio, and right here in Pennsylvania because the deal they fought for was not only a better contract for them + their families, it also proved to all of us how strong organized labor can be when we join together.
Unions built this nation + built the middle class, and I will always stand with workers and fight for them in Washington. 💪
