  • In the race for Allegheny County executive, Republican nominee Joe Rockey received nearly 2.5 times the contributions gathered by Democratic nominee Sara Innamorato. Rockey leaned heavily on a few individual donors and a prominent labor union, while Innamorato drew most heavily from three unions and a political ally.
  • Andy Kelemen, a homeowner in Central Lawrenceville wrote a first-person essay about his feelings about Airbnbs crowding his neighborhood, undermining the sense of community that comes with consistent neighbors.
