The U.S. House fell into chaos when the GOP ousted Kevin McCarthy with no replacement in mind. Then, after three weeks of complete Speaker-less standstill, the GOP decided to elect staunch anti-abortion, anti-LGBTQ+ extremist Mike Johnson to represent them as Speaker.
Instead of focusing on legislating and stopping a looming government shutdown, Mike Johnson is more focused on playing political games with Biden impeachment and Ukraine funding. It’s unacceptable.
We deserve real leaders like Yadira Caraveo who will advocate for working families and our Democratic priorities.
