campaign last month!

Unfortunately, we came up short of our ambitious fundraising goal by just
$14,000.

I work each month with my team to set our fundraising goals — and this is
the first time we missed one.

Now, we are setting our pre-freeze fundraising goal — fair warning it’s a
BIG one! Washington state law requires elected officials like me to shut
down all fundraising from midnight December 8th until the legislative
session concludes next spring. That’s why we set a goal of raising
$750,000 over the next five weeks before the freeze goes into effect.

I’ve spent my career taking on powerful special interests and standing up
for Washington families. Now, I’m running for Governor to center the
people and deliver for all Washingtonians. With anti-choice Republican
Dave Reichert against us, the stakes are higher than ever.

Raising $750,000 before midnight on December 8th will be very challenging,
but it’s what our campaign needs. Why? Dave Reichert is not an elected
official, so the fundraising freeze does not apply to him. That means he
will be fundraising for over three months while I am frozen.

We can’t afford to miss any more fundraising goals. But thankfully, we
have five weeks to make it up.
