As a parent and former educator, I am frightened and outraged about the epidemic of senseless gun violence in this country, which is why I have worked tirelessly throughout my career as an elected official on this issue.

But, this week, a Trump-appointed judge blocked California’s ban on gun shows at county fairs, a law I championed in the State Senate.

This reckless decision is a clear example of conservative judges legislating from the bench – and it will have dangerous consequences.

I will keep fighting for gun violence prevention in the State Senate, and when I’m in Congress. Will you stand with me? [[link removed]]END GUN VIOLENCE [[link removed]]

No community is a stranger to gun violence. Since being sworn into the State Senate in December 2020, I have sadly watched tragedy after tragedy devastate the communities I represent, which are some of the safest in the country.

The truth is, thoughts and prayers are not an adequate response to mass shootings.

Measures like California's ban on gun shows at state properties are critical to defending against the unchecked proliferation of firearms, including “ghost guns” that circumvent essential background checks.

This week’s judicial ruling is a reminder of the barriers we face in the fight against gun violence – but we must keep fighting. Are you with me? Add your name here to demand continued action to end gun violence once and for all. [[link removed]]ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]

Thanks for taking a stand on this important issue.
