Hi there. It’s Ben Wikler — Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. This month, we mark 365 days out from Election Day 2024. I asked the GA Dems if I could share with you some thoughts on this critical inflection point.

Right now, Republicans are making big moves in the Badger State to win in 2024 and impose their far-right, extremist ideology on Wisconsinites and the country.

From hosting their first primary debate in Milwaukee to implementing a new GOP early vote program, they could win next November. We can’t let that happen, folks.

That’s why the WisDems and the GA Dems start this work early. Every cycle since 2017, WisDems uses the one-year-out moment to knock doors, update our data, energize our volunteers statewide, and find the new voters we’ll need to win the following November.

We call this One Year to Win — a WisDems tradition. But it takes a lot of resources to make something like this successful and our grassroots funds are starting to run low.

Our work over the next month could provide the margin of victory for 2024, which is what makes One Year To Win so important.

If we don’t hit our fundraising goals, we’d have to significantly cut our capacity at this critical time and sacrifice that margin of victory.
