Dear Friend,

In this week's roundup: My written testimony to the House Judiciary Committee, President Biden's failed economic policies, and my work to make E-15 available year-round permanently. FIGHTING TO SECURE OUR BORDER

This morning, I submitted written testimony to the House Judiciary Committee to encourage passage of two bills that I have introduced to secure our border.

My Build the Wall and Fight Fentanyl Act will seize money from the drug cartels to finish the wall and combat the fentanyl epidemic.

Sarah’s Law will hold illegal immigrants who seriously harm or kill American citizens accountable for their actions.

Let’s secure our border for good.
WORKING TO MAKE E-15 AVAILABLE YEAR-ROUND PERMANENTLY

Homegrown ethanol – of which our district is the top producer nationwide – can make our country energy independent again, end our reliance on our foreign adversaries for our energy needs, and make life more affordable for our families.

In Iowa, we know that E-15 means lower gas prices and lower emissions. Specifically, according to industry estimates, E-15 saves drivers anywhere between 15 and 30 cents a gallon, eliminates the need to import roughly 700 million barrels of foreign oil every single year, and reduces emissions by 46%.

That’s why – in conjunction with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle from Iowa and across the Midwest – we are working to pass our Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act. This legislation would cut through the bureaucratic red tape and finally permit the nationwide sale of E-15 year-round – permanently – ending our reliance on EPA’s subjective rule-making process.

In this opinion piece, Rep. Randy Feenstra R-Iowa, advocates for the passage of the Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act, which would expand the sale of E-15 year-round.

BIDENOMICS HAS FUELED AN AFFORDABILITY CRISIS FOR AMERICAN FAMILIES

Bidenomics fueled the worst affordability crisis for American families in decades.

To make life affordable again, we need to stop printing trillions of dollars, cut taxes, and unleash American energy production.

House Republicans will deliver.
Here's how Bidenomics is crushing dreams of American...

Biden's failed economic policies have created uncertainty for small businesses, forced families to dip into their savings to keep up with inflation, and raised costs for our farmers.

ADVOCATING FOR IOWA AGRICULTURE

The Farm Bill reauthorization remains a major topic of conversation back home in Iowa and on Capitol Hill. I have been clear with my colleagues – on both sides of the aisle – that we need to get the Farm Bill written, passed, and signed into law as quickly as possible.

From foreign animal disease prevention to robust crop insurance protections, American farmers, producers, and every industry that intersects with agriculture need Congress to focus on the task at hand and deliver a Farm Bill worthy of our hardworking farm families.

Representing the second-largest agriculture-producing district in the U.S. House of Representatives, that goal continues to be my main mission.

ONE LAST THING: FALL SPORTS ARE WRAPPING UP

High school sports are a great time in our children's lives. They promote a strong work ethic and teamwork, and most importantly, they allow our kids to have fun.

I wanted to take a moment to congratulate all those participating this season, and wish nothing but the best to those who are still competing!
MY WEEKLY COLUMN: PROTECTING AMERICAN FARMLAND FROM BURDENSOME REGULATIONS

Over the course of his administration, President Biden has jeopardized our gold standard of agriculture production with mountains of rules and regulations. He and his unruly Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have weaponized the power of the pen to impose burdensome mandates on our farmers and rural communities.

From expanding the size and scope of WOTUS to proposing bans on pest control tools like rodenticide, the Biden administration has repeatedly demonstrated that it is out-of-touch with the needs and concerns of rural America.

On November 3rd, I voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Department of the Interior appropriations bill, which would require explicit congressional approval of any regulation that would impact over 50% of American farmland.

American farmland is some of the most fertile and bountiful in the world. Despite derechos and droughts, nothing obstructs the resilience of our farmers. Our producers work long hours to grow the food and produce the fuel that our families and...
