Democrats,
The Democratic Party of New Mexico has a history of building strong connections with sovereign nations across our state. We believe in direct investment and intentional organizing as essential elements to foster trust, collaboration, and a true sense of community. Our efforts have not only proven successful but have also strengthened the bond between our party and tribal communities. At DPNM, we always recognize the importance of Native American involvement in elections and have been consistently in support of uplifting and including indigenous voices in our electoral system. As part of Native American Heritage Month, we’re highlighting our Tribal Outreach Program and the work of our Tribal Outreach Organizing Team in the most recent election.

In the most recent election, DPNM’s Tribal Outreach Team consisted of 5 organizers from New Mexico’s tribal communities who successfully organized and turned out the vote in these areas. DPNM will need to replicate this Tribal Outreach Program in order to get out the vote in the upcoming Presidential election, and this means hiring organizers from these communities who understand the local issues and political landscape. |
DPNM continually recognizes the importance of maintaining strong partnerships with our state’s indigenous communities. It’s critical that the Democratic Party and our elected officials continually prioritize equity, inclusion and diversity, to lead to more representative government and better policy outcomes.
That’s where you come in– we need your support to continue bolstering our efforts, especially going into next year’s critical presidential election. Can you make a donation of any size to continue bolstering our Tribal Outreach Program? Thank you, DPNM Outreach Team |
