There’s strength in numbersand 400,000 is a pretty impressive number.

On Monday, I was honored to stand with partners like Center for Popular Democracy, Indivisible, League of Conservation Voters, People Power United, and others to help bring your demands straight to the source of power that needed to hear it the most.

We packed all of your signatures into dozens of boxes and marched them directly to the offices of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Judiciary Chair Dick Durbin. Staffers there sure were surprised by how many we had!

Our demands to Senate leadership? Finally investigate allegations of corruption against Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, including by issuing subpoenas to their wealthy benefactors, and bring the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, & Transparency (SCERT) Act up for a floor vote by the full Senate.

That many signatures together in hard copy were hard for leadership to ignore. Just hours after we delivered your signatures, the Senate Judiciary committee announced they would be voting on subpoenas for the MAGA donors that appeared all over those ProPublica stories: Harlan Crow and Leonard Leo.

Your voices and signatures made it clear to Senate Leadership: It’s time to act swiftly to address corruption on the Supreme Court. We still have work to do, but we couldn’t have accomplished this without you.

Thanks for all that you do.
