Rep. Andy Kim newsletter banner image

Greetings,

We hope you have had a great week and a very spooky, happy Halloween! Congressman Kim had a busy week, beginning with breaking ground on an exciting, local project in Edgewater Park and a busy few days in Washington pushing for action against the gun violence epidemic.

As we look forward to events around Veterans Day and honoring all our local veterans, we want to also honor our veteran entrepreneurs as National Veterans Small Business Week comes to a close and all our servicemembers’ loved ones during Military Family Appreciation Month! Thank you for your commitment and service to our country.

As always, we hope you find these updates and resources helpful.

Congressman Kim Receives New Jersey Service Award for Work Supporting our Military Community

On Sunday, Congressman Kim was honored to receive New Jersey’s Civilian Meritorious Service Award for his service supporting servicemembers and the over 350,000 New Jersey veterans and their families. Governor Murphy and the New Jersey Army National Guard Brigadier General Lisa Hou presented him the award at the Annual Governor's Military Review attended by dozens of other military and community leaders.

Congressman Kim was previously named NJ VFW’s Legislator of the Year for his work on behalf of our local veteran community. He continues his steadfast commitment to look after local servicemembers serving at JBMDL and across the world as Ranking Member of the Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel and make sure New Jersey veterans get the care, resources, and support they deserve.
