The Department of Labor (DOL) needs to hear from you! We need to tell them to end subminimum wage for people with disabilities [[link removed]]. The 14(c) program lets employers who have a certificate pay less than minimum wage. Most workers in the program earn less than $3.50 per hour. The DOL can stop giving employers certificates and require them to pay everyone at least minimum wage. You can learn more about this by reading our action alert [[link removed]].

The Department of Labor has scheduled a meeting to hear from people about 14(c). The meeting is on November 15th at 5:30 PM Eastern Time. The meeting is virtual and on Webex. You need to sign up by November 6th to get the link for the meeting! You can sign up here [[link removed]]. You should sign up to attend and check the box that says you want to speak.

If you want help planning what to say at the meeting, you can read our explainer [[link removed]]. There is also a petition you can sign [[link removed]] to tell the Department of Labor to end subminimum wage. A petition is a letter that a lot of people sign to show that they agree with what the letter says.

Read below to learn more. Thanks for taking action on this important issue!
