In the Senate, Chris and his colleagues on both sides of the aisle are working to pass a supplemental funding bill that will support Israel, Ukraine, countering China and other critical global security and humanitarian challenges.

Unfortunately, Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republicans are not focused on finding serious solutions to the pressing problems across the world.

Johnson is demanding emergency aid to Israel be "offset" by spending cuts to reduce the deficit. But according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, their demand to slash funding for the IRS would actually increase the deficit.

He’s demanding that we slash enforcement for wealthy tax cheats as the price for helping our partners around the world in their moment of greatest need.
