Can you speak out before it’s too late? IN JUST FOUR DAYS the Supreme Court will hear arguments in the case to determine if domestic abusers can own firearms.
If the Court rules in the gun lobby's favor again, the consequences will be deadly. We need 10,000 activists to respond to our urgent poll right now before it's too late.
Should domestic abusers have access to guns?

Friend,
In just four days the Supreme Court will hear arguments in its next consequential case on guns. The outcome of U.S. v. Rahimi will determine if a domestic abuser has the right to own a firearm.
This ultra-conservative Court has already proven their propensity for an extremist interpretation of the Second Amendment: Last summer, they handed down the NRA's dream ruling in a case that allowed for dramatic increases in who can carry concealed weapons in public. It emboldened the gun lobby to start legal battles to gut gun laws across the country and if they win again their rampage will be worse.
I won't mince words: if the Supreme Court allows domestic abusers to access firearms, people will die.
There is a lethal connection between firearms and domestic abuse, in fact, the mere presence of a gun in a domestic violence situation makes it five times as likely that a woman will be killed. In the United States, over 1 million women alive today have been shot or shot at by an intimate partner. The Supreme Court must prioritize survivor safety over a dangerous abuser’s access to guns.
Lives are at risk. Gun laws are at risk. We need to do everything in our power to stop another deadly Supreme Court decision.
Brady has already been fighting tooth and nail against another NRA victory – we partnered with domestic violence prevention and gun violence prevention groups to file an amicus brief in the case and we’ll be on the steps of the Supreme Court on Tuesday making it clear that the American people do not want dangerous individuals to be armed. And I’m counting on activists like you, friend, to speak out against this potentially deadly decision with us.
Can you help make it clear that the majority of Americans support common-sense gun safety laws that save lives? We need 10,000 activists to speak out before the Supreme Court hears arguments in only four days.
