Hi, it’s Maria.
Native American Heritage Month is an opportunity to celebrate the cultures and achievements of Indigenous Americans – but it’s also a moment to recognize that violence against Indigenous women and girls is far too common.
Tribal member programs and Native advocates and survivors are leading the fight for justice, and I am committed to working with these leaders to protect Indigenous women.
That’s why I’m fighting to combat the epidemic of missing and murdered indigenous women and girls. Will you sign on now to demand action to protect Indigenous women? [[link removed]]
Thousands of cases of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls are reported every year, but only a few are ever resolved.
This is unacceptable. We must act now to protect Indigenous women and girls and bring justice for survivors and their families.

May everyone return home safely,
Maria
