John,

Like many before him, the mass murderer who used an AR-15 to slaughter over 18 innocent people in Maine was radicalized by far-right disinformation and extremist content.

The shooter’s engagement with fringe extremist content on social media included a troubling trail of interactions with accounts known for spreading hate and dangerous, violent rhetoric—and many Republican politicians, such as my opponent Jim Jordan, featured very prominently on that list:

The Maine shooter had a Twitter account and he visited Jim Jordan's Twitter page numerous times before taking fire upon innocent civilians. The above screenshot come from the leaked Twitter history of the shooter's account before it was taken offline.

Jim Jordan’s extremist and hateful content was, and is, a huge part of the digital ecosystem that the mass murderer in Maine interacted with on a frequent basis. Seeing his interaction with Jordan’s content and far-right rhetoric provides a glimpse into some of the factors that drove him to his violent act.

Callous politicians like Jim Jordan think they can say whatever they want and be completely immune from the consequences of their speech. We can’t lay the blame for an individual’s actions fully at Jordan’s feet, but we can call out his role as an influential public figure who frequently stokes baseless outrage against “leftists,” immigrants, Democrats, so-called “Never Trumpers”—anyone he disagrees with.

We need to get back to the days when our leaders brought out the best in us, not the worst! I will call him out every time he stoles his hate speech, and I will beat him this election, I will defeat Jim Jordan. Will you stand with me against Jordan and Trump’s dangerous violent rhetoric and help me shut Jordan up? Anything you give helps us beat him this year:
