Labour is working hard to win elections. But it’s critical that we aren’t
complacent.

We know the Tories are good at winning elections, have plenty of money to spend,
and that they will not hesitate to call the next general election if they think
they’ve caught us asleep at the wheel.

We had major victories last month in three by-elections, seeing off the SNP in
Rutherglen and turning two Tory strongholds Labour.

But it would be a huge risk to take anything for granted as a result.

The Tories have consistently outspent us on past campaigns, and they’ll do it
again next year if we let them.

We can’t let that happen. Not if it means another five years of Tory government.
They have failed our families, our public services and our economy for long
enough.
