John,
Did you know that our federal government
spends billions of dollars each year on foreign aid?
While Canadians suffer from out-of-control inflation, a
generational housing crisis, and debilitating infrastructure, our
out-of-touch politicians send our tax dollars to countries like
Ethiopia, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.
Does this make
sense to you, John?
Maybe if our country was
thriving it would make sense to support others around the
world, but that’s far from the case.
Most
Canadians are struggling to just get by.
They
can hardly afford things that would have been seen as basic amenities
just a generation ago — things like buying a house and starting a
family.
And instead of supporting our own people, our
government prioritizes foreigners.
Furthermore,
foreign aid itself is deeply flawed.
One of my personal
political inspirations, Ron Paul, put it best:
“Foreign aid is taking money from the poor people
of a rich country and giving it to the rich people of a poor
country.”
The large majority of countries
receiving foreign aid from us are widely known to be corrupt and
dysfunctional states.
Do you really think this money
is being spent effectively to support their most vulnerable?
No! Much of it is squandered by corrupt elites and politicians
in these countries.
And while these corrupt elites
benefit, it is our most vulnerable here in Canada who suffer.
Here is my foreign policy in a nutshell.
Our federal government needs to start putting Canada and
Canadians First!
All Canadian tax dollars must stay
in Canada and be spent for the benefit of Canadians.
This
isn’t complicated — it’s common sense really — and yet there is no
discussion on this topic amongst the establishment parties.
As usual, the PPC is the only party brave enough to
address the elephant in the room.
