Because Brewer’s Democratic candidate, Kevin O’Connell, was able to win in a deep red district. Donald Trump and Susan Collins should be worried.

You may have missed it during Super Tuesday, but this is why it’s important: In 2014 that district went for Susan Collins by almost 45 points. And then in 2016, Donald Trump won it by eight points. This race may seem small, but it demonstrates that Democrats can compete and win everywhere in Maine. We have the support on the ground to defeat Susan Collins, but we need resources to bring victory home.
