Poynter’s Bowtie Ball is our largest celebration of journalism and democracy. This annual event will be hosted on Saturday evening, Nov. 18, at the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street in downtown Tampa, Florida.
Join us as we raise a glass to our 2023 recipient of the Poynter Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Journalism ([link removed]) and sit down for an exclusive on-stage interview. We’ll get Cooper’s first-hand insights into his career-defining coverage for CNN and CBS that helped shape the conversation about politics and culture around the world. We’ll also get deeply personal, discussing his latest projects on family, loss and grief.
During an exclusive VIP Experience that starts at 5 p.m., VIP guests will enjoy a premium open bar, hors d’oeuvres and a special interview with Cooper.
Act fast. Only 38 general admission and 14 VIP tickets are left. We expect the event to sell out.
