I’m writing to thank everyone for such generous support in October. During a time of so much chaos and uncertainty in Washington and around the world, it means so much to know this team remains engaged in our efforts for 2024.
We’ve seen plenty of reminders this past month on why our work together is vital. We start this month with a new Speaker of the House and a new urgency to our work. We’ve spent almost a full year with House Republicans in the majority. We’ve seen their priorities, their policies, and their politics. And we’ve seen their inability to govern.
This week, we saw them put partisanship above people once again, as they brought to the House a bill for aid to Israel that stripped out funding for humanitarian assistance, for our ally Ukraine and other allies fighting for democracy around the world, and for our own national security. And they made it contingent on cutting funding to the IRS. Partisan politics, terrible policy.
We can and must do all we can to return the House to responsible leadership. That means, putting House Democrats back in the majority. Until then, I’m going to continue looking for common ground wherever possible and at the same time standing up to extremism whenever necessary. And I am going to work on this campaign every single day.
This team will keep fighting for our values, our freedoms, and our fellow Americans. I am so grateful you’re part of #TeamLizzie — thank you for your time, energy, and contributions to our campaign.
Together, we can do anything,
