Dear John,
Twin Metals is at it again. In September, Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness - the lead organization in the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters - and ten local businesses and four conservation groups WON the lawsuit in which the groups and businesses had intervened on the side of the United States government.
But this morning, Twin Metals filed to appeal this decision. This means one thing: Antofagasta, the Chilean mining giant behind the Twin Metals mine, will stop at nothing to resurrect its rejected sulfide-ore copper mine in the watershed of the Boundary Waters.
