Now that more ballots have been counted in the race for CA-49, I’m very pleased to share that we’ve opened up a sizable lead against our Republican opponent. We are now on to the General Election with momentum!
 

I want to start by thanking you for your incredible support -- and not just in this primary, but from the beginning when I announced our campaign in 2017. I am so humbled to have earned your trust in our shared efforts to make positive change for our district.

As we look towards the General Election, it’s clear that we have our work cut out for us. In the last few weeks our self-funding opponent has proven himself willing to do (and spend) whatever it takes to retake this seat. He’s also secured the backing of the Republicans’ deep-pocketed special interest groups.
