Our Latest Work:
- Tech Transparency Project, Child Exploitation on Facebook: On Wednesday, CfA released a new report, Broken Promises: Sexual Exploitation of Children on Facebook, revealing that pedophiles are widely using Facebook to sexually exploit children, despite Facebook’s promises to address the problem. (Press Release, Report )
- The new report marks the launch of the Tech Transparency Project (TTP), a research initiative designed to hold large technology companies accountable. (TTP Website )

- Facebook's Failure to Stop Child Exploitation on its Platform: The Guardian covered our latest report about child exploitation on Facebook. (The Guardian, 3.4.20)
What We're Reading:
- DOJ Ordered to Show Redacted Portions of Mueller Report to Judge: A judge called Attorney General William Barr's handling of the Mueller Report "misleading" and ordered the DOJ to privately reveal redacted portions of the report, in order to evaluate the justifications for those redactions. (The New York Times, 3.5.20)
- The Supreme Court Heard June Medical Services v. Russo on Wednesday: The outcome of June Medical Services v. Russo may determine whether the constitutional right to abortion will still be meaningful for millions of people in the United States. (CBS News, 3.3.20)
- Facebook Campaign Embeds: The New Yorker's latest profile of Trump social media whisperer Brad Parscale highlighted the role of Facebook's campaign "embeds" in the 2016 election. In 2018, CfA wrote a report about Facebook and Google's campaign embeds. (The New Yorker, 3.2.20)
- Supreme Court Will Take Up Endangered Species Act FOIA Case: From Bloomberg Environment: "The Supreme Court is taking up the Trump administration’s legal quest to keep certain Endangered Species Act records from the public eye." (Bloomberg Environment, 3.2.20)
