BJS announces an innovative dashboard for accessing Federal Justice Statistics Program data. This dashboard, an enhancement of the Federal Criminal Case Processing Statistics (FCCPS) data tool, improves the core functionality of the existing FCCPS tool and?for the first time?enables users to generate data visualizations and apply numerous filters to examine the data. BJS has also updated and expanded documentation guides to support new and existing users. These changes allow practitioners, policy makers, academics, and members of the general public to answer a greater variety of criminal justice questions.
The Bureau of Justice Statistics of the U.S. Department of Justice is the principal federal agency responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating reliable statistics on crime and criminal justice in the United States. Kevin M. Scott, PhD, is the acting director.
