their constituents about the importance of confirming judicial nominees.

After years of Trump and McConnell confirming highly partisan nominees to
our federal judiciary, it’s crucial to the future of our rights and
freedoms that we urge the Senate to prioritize the confirmation of
President Biden’s judicial nominees to restore balance to our courts.

On Thursday, we got exciting news that Majority Leader Schumer teed up
three terrific district court nominees for votes next week. That’s great
progress, but we need to do more.

The fact is that at this point in his presidency, President Biden has
fallen behind Trump, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton in making progress
towards filling judicial vacancies, and as of today there are almost 100
vacancies that need to be filled!

Not only has President Biden fallen behind his predecessors, but we’re
also running out of time on the Senate calendar to consider and confirm
these nominees – with more than two dozen who are stuck in a backlog and
waiting for their vote on the Senate floor!

It’s not acceptable for the Senate to delay voting for these
well-qualified nominees who would restore much-needed balance and
integrity to our federal judiciary, especially at a time when public trust
in these institutions has fallen to historic lows.
