The Mises Institute is excited to announce our latest animated series, The Costs of the Progressives. ([link removed])

The Costs of the Progressives is a nine-part series that dives into the battle between American individualism and modern progressive collectivism. Written by Chris Calton, this historical series focuses on the great leaps forward in Washington's consolidation of power on a variety of issues that affect our day-to-day lives and the costs we pay with our taxes and our liberty.

Our first episode looks at the early origins of progressivism in America and its contrast to the individualist foundations of the country. This conflict between respect for the natural order and the importance of families versus the social engineering of a state bureaucracy is at the core of the most important political battles in society today.
