Jack, traditional media outlets have pushed the narrative that President Biden is too old to be President. They have latched on to every gaffe and focused on his health.

By the way, Biden is the first president in recent history to visit an active war zone not controlled by the American military when he traveled to Ukraine early this year. He repeated this diplomatic feat last month with a trip to Israel.

Meanwhile, Trump, the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination, can't even muster the energy to attend a GOP debate.

For as much attention as the traditional media has devoted to Biden's age, they have woefully under-reported Trump's age, just three years younger than Biden, along with his many nonsensical statements and confusions. Trump has never been more disconnected from reality (and that says a lot) than over the past few months. He has confused the leaders of Hungary and Turkey, forgotten what city he was in, confused Joe Biden with Barack Obama and declared that Biden will start World War II.

This is journalistic malpractice. As the 2024 elections heat up, it's becoming abundantly clear that independent, progressive news, like Daily Kos, not just needs to survive, we need to thrive.
