After 4 incredible years serving the people of Eagan and Mendota Heights, Representative Ruth Richardson stepped down from representing House District 52B in September, triggering a Special Election to be held on December 5, 2023. We are proud of Ruth’s service on behalf of all Minnesotans and look forward to continuing working with her in the fight for Reproductive Freedom at Planned Parenthood.
This open seat presents an exciting opportunity to support new candidates for office in the Legislature, and we are thrilled to help usher in the next generation of political leadership at the Minnesota House fighting for Reproductive Justice at every turn!
It is for these reasons that Women Winning is thrilled to announce the endorsement of Cynthia Callais for Minnesota House District 52B in the December 2023 Special Election!
Cynthia Callais currently serves on the board of Pro-Choice Minnesota, and her personal experiences with reproductive health care have made her an unabashedly pro-choice, pro-reproductive justice, and bodily autonomy advocate. We know young adults, Minnesotans with disabilities, LGBTQ+ Minnesotans, and Minnesotans of color struggle to access the reproductive health care they need. In the Minnesota House, Cynthia would seek to expand on our progress, specifically focusing on expanding access, affordability, and equity to this vital health care.
