After weeks of leaderless chaos, the Republican majority has chosen MAGA Mike Johnson as the new Speaker of the House. Don’t let his “aw, shucks” persona fool you — he’s just another MAGA extremist like Jim Jordan. Sunday marks exactly one year away from Election Day 2024, and it's never been more obvious that we must take back the House.

I’m appalled by MAGA Mike Johnson’s attacks against abortion rights and the LGBTQ+ community — but I promise to never back down in the fight against Republican extremists.

If given the opportunity, these right-wing radicals will institute a total abortion ban, deny crucial aid to our allies and continue their unprecedented attacks against our democracy itself. Mike Johnson was even a key architect of the illegal efforts to overturn the 2020 election — so who knows what they have in store for this cycle!
