I am Nikki’s older brother, Mitti. Actually, she refers to me as “Her Favorite Older Brother.” As a very proud older brother, I want to take a brief moment to introduce myself and share a memory or two about my little sister! You have heard from Michael, Nalin, and Rena and if anyone can attest to Nikki’s character and determination, we all can. She is absolutely amazing, genuine and the “Real Deal” and we are all so very proud of her!

You have always heard Nikki say, “Even on our worst days, we are so blessed to live in America.” It’s so true. Mom and Dad came to the USA to give all 4 of us a better life, better education, and better opportunities. We are so blessed that they had the foresight to create a better life (The American Dream) and give us these opportunities. Growing up in Bamberg provided us with so many memories and truly began our journey together in learning work ethic, giving to those who were less fortunate than us, understanding right versus wrong and good versus evil. And through Mom and Dad’s guidance and God’s grace, we were all afforded the opportunities to go to higher levels of education…I chose Wofford College. My intent was to go to Medical School. Wofford
is where I first came into contact with the military and decided I would graduate and become a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army.

As I was deployed to various duty stations and when I was mobilized and deployed to the Middle East in support of Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Nikki was always that certain star in the sky that I searched for and would always find for comfort. She would always send me support from afar and always write letters. Her fondness of our great military is evident, and she does not take it for granted.


I retired after 25 years and am blessed. Now I support Nikki, Nalin, Rena and Josh and our entire family as Michael is defending the constitution and bravely serving overseas with his fellow Brothers and Sisters in uniform. Nikki is a Military Mom, Military Wife and a Military Sister and it shows!

Michael started these $5 Fridays back at the beginning of the campaign to give you all a behind-the-scenes look at our family. You’re an important part of our team and we want to make sure you feel like it by getting an exclusive look at the many stories we have to share about my sister and our family. We also know that the economy is tough, and not everyone is in a place to give.

When Nikki announced she was running for President, as her “Favorite Older Brother,” I wanted to help get her to the finish line. She is the only candidate who can win in a general election and win decisively. She has never lost a race and she should not be underestimated, not even in the least.


When Nikki says something, she does it. It’s a strong part of who she is. I have seen that drive, determination, grit and perseverance since she was a young child. I saw that as she ran for the state legislature and for governor. I saw that as she took on those in the United Nations as UN ambassador. And I can assure you she will continue those qualities as our next President.


In addition to serving our country as ambassador, Nikki is a proud military spouse and mom who always makes time and prioritizes her family. Nikki is running for President because she knows we have a country to save. We all see and experience where our beloved country has been over these last few years. We feel it at the grocery stores, at our kids’ day care and at the gas pump. She knows that the life our parents gave us will not be possible if we continue down the current path our country is headed.

My name is Nikki Haley. I want to tell you a bit about myself and why I’m running for President of the United States.
I’m running for President because my parents came to America more than 50 years ago – an America that was strong and proud, and full of opportunities. I want them to know that America again.


I’m running for President as a military spouse. My husband is deployed and I want him and his military brothers and sisters to know their sacrifice means something – that we do love this country.


I’m running for President for the future of our kids. I have a daughter who just got married and I saw how hard it was for her and her husband to buy a home. I’m doing this for my son who’s a senior in college and shouldn’t have to worry about saying things on a paper that he doesn’t believe in just to get an A.


I’m running for my daughter, my son, and our future generations. I want them to experience the freedom and opportunity that the American Dream has to offer.

I’ve seen that even on our worst days, we are blessed to live in America. But I also know that under Biden’s leadership, times are tough, our future is slipping, and America can be doing so much better.

As governor, I was dubbed a “jobs governor” because I slashed our unemployment rate, brought jobs back to our state, and shepherded in a successful economic recovery.

At the UN I fought for America, made sure our allies knew we had their backs, and stood up to murderers and dictators to let them know that America was taking names.
