On Tuesday, March 3, tornadoes left Tennessee’s residents and animals devastated and displaced. PAWS Chicago answered their call for help. Here is that story in pictures.
Tennessee animal shelters, including one that was badly damaged, reached out for our help. A team of PAWS Chicago volunteers drove rescue vans to Nashville and returned Friday morning with 23 dogs and cats already living in shelters or given up by their owners, making room for animals displaced in the disaster.
Our expert medical team met these animals at 5:30am today. Some need surgery, others, intensive medical care. When healthy, we'll find them families.
