Before Thanksgiving, Congress must pass another spending bill to prevent a government shutdown. With the way that House Republicans held the speakership hostage, there’s no doubt they won’t try to disrupt our government again.
The truth is that their new leader, Speaker Johnson, has some incredibly concerning viewpoints and worked to support Trump in the Big Lie. My hope is that his focus is on the American people and not the extremist views of many in the Republican conference.
