PFAW Member,
You’ve no doubt seen the news that Sen. Elizabeth Warren has suspended her presidential campaign.
Per our policy, PFAW has not endorsed any candidate in the Democratic primary, and we have no immediate plans to do so, but from polling of our membership and based on the important role Sen. Warren played in this race, we want to offer our members the chance to thank her.
Here’s why we think Sen. Warren deserves some special recognition:
While PFAW’s policy has been not to endorse in this presidential primary, Sen. Warren was a consistent favorite among a huge chunk of our membership. She won more of our member pulse polls, that we have been conducting throughout the race, than any other candidate.
In addition, Sen. Warren has been an incredible friend and ally for years on the issues our members care about – a true partner in so many fights. Whether it was opposing the Trump-McConnell assault on the federal judiciary or standing up against corruption and Big Money in politics, it has never been a question that we could count on Sen. Warren to be a powerful voice for our side. She has been gracious in making herself accessible to PFAW members and is among the most dedicated fighters for working families and Americans’ fundamental constitutional rights on Capitol Hill.
So, while it has been and is still true that “we have no dog in this fight,” we know that many PFAW members across the country are saddened to have lost such an important voice in the presidential race and we know that so many of our members are feeling it too.
