Dallas Citizens Feel Unsafe & Want More Cops |
|
|
| Even more decisively, a staggering 90% said that Dallas PD does not employ enough officers to keep the city safe. A city can’t claim to be a happy, thriving community if more than half of its residents don’t feel safe in public areas.
What is most insulting about the city council’s failures to solve the crisis is that an undeniable supermajority of Dallas residents know the solution, but no good-faith action has been taken to hire more officers.
DPD needs to hire 1,000 police officers ASAP. If our city council would simply hold our police department accountable to their own hiring goals, this problem could be solved overnight.
If city council members want their constituents to feel safe in Dallas, they need to listen to the 90% of residents who want more cops. Contact your council member and ask them exactly what they are going to do to get more police officers on our streets! |

Mayor Johnson Says Dems Won’t Admit Violent Crime Is An Issue |
Dallas’ mayor continues to rail against the pro-crime policies that he says forced him to switch parties from Democrat to Republican earlier this year. Johnson says that Democrats blame violent crime on society, the education system, and the economy– factors that have always been present, unlike the current crime rate, which has not always been so high. Dallas will die if we can’t turn this ship around. We must hold the city council accountable! Read more...

City Stats Say Most Violent Crime Victims Are Still Minorities |
Minorities still comprise most violent crime victims because radical Leftists in our city’s government don’t actually care about the constituents they were elected to serve. Rather than making minority communities safer and cleaner, our city council seems to be fighting to make the rest of Dallas dirty and more dangerous. Every Dallas resident deserves to live in a safe neighborhood! Read more...

Costs Continue to Delay North Oak Cliff Homeless Housing Project |
Dallas wastes millions of dollars on policies and projects that don’t work because our city council is unwilling to consider solutions that have been proven to work. Then, our residents are forced to foot the bill with rising property taxes. Dallas must adopt a model like San Antonio’s Haven for Hope. Responsible cities have a central location to deliver services to the homeless! Read more...

Each week the KDS team drives its planned route through Dallas photo-documenting and cataloguing illegal encampments to inform the city of these locations. Our team livestreams these activities giving the community a first-hand look at the vagrancy crisis in Dallas. In case you missed it: we expose an open-air "toilet" outside of Dallas City Hall! Watch here! |

District 11 Councilwoman Jaynie Schultz's
"Cardboard Camp" |
We named this camp in Jaynie Schultz’s District 11 “Cardboard Camp.” This vagrant camp is set up in the middle of the road. The small “shelter” is made completely out of cardboard, which is a problem on rainy days like this one. Where do you think the wet cardboard will end up now that it’s useless? Probably on the street with the rest of their trash! |

District 6 Councilman Omar Narvaez's
"Pillow Fort Camp" |
This camp in Omar Narvaez’s District 6 has been dubbed “Pillow Fort Camp.” Vagrants in District 6 are reliving a beloved childhood activity – next to a dumpster. Vagrants steal public spaces for their own private use, and the rest of us suffer for it. How does our city council ignore the filth that is covering our city? |

|
District 2 Councilman Jesse Moreno's
"Sleepover Camp" |
This camp in Jesse Moreno’s District 2 has earned the title “Sleepover Camp.” This is the same district where KDS recently discovered an open-air “toilet” right outside of City Hall. Vagrants clearly feel free to live however they want in Moreno’s district; they treat the entire city like their own home! Parks and streets are for public use, NOT private living. |

Mission Statement:
Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have a City Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines the quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the "defund the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders' efforts towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our city's homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the prohibition of urban camping.
