Threatened species in traditional medicines

Our latest report, Investing in Extinction, reveals how the body parts of threatened leopards and pangolins are used as ingredients in at least 88 traditional Chinese medicine products. In it, we identify the 72 State-licensed Chinese firms manufacturing them and also name 62 banks and financial institutions – many of them Fortune 500 companies and household names – which are invested in three Chinese pharmaceutical groups making nine of the products.
