Ahead of Veterans Day on Nov. 11, we wanted to remind you about special permits offered to qualifying veterans and other groups.?Nebraska Game and Parks is proud to offer special permits to qualifying veterans age 64 and older, deployed military and disabled veterans at reduced or no cost.

Special Youth Hunt another success in 2023

Nebraska youth got to experience a pheasant hunt as adult mentors took them afield for the state?s Special Youth Hunt on Oct. 21-22.

The hunt took place on 19 sites, including wildlife management areas, where Nebraska Game and Parks released 9,110 roosters Oct. 20.

Phragmites, a non-native, invasive, noxious plant, is spreading rapidly along the state's rivers, streams, lakes and wetlands. Nebraska Game and Parks is asking waterfowl hunters to help keep from making the problem worse.
