I wanted to reach out personally to say THANK YOU for your support ahead of last month's fundraising deadline. I know you get dozens (if not hundreds!) of emails asking for money, and I want you to know what your investment has made possible:

• With your support, we elected the first meteorologist to Congress in over
  50 years!
• We made history by giving Illinois its first openly LGBTQ federal representative in our state's history.
• And perhaps most importantly, you helped give Northwest and Central Illinois a trusted, local voice representing our interests in the capitol.

Of course our work doesn't stop now. Congress is back in session this week with a newly-elected Republican Speaker in Rep. Mike Johnson. In addition to putting his extremely far-right agenda on full display, he's already playing partisan politics with our national budget.

With a new Speaker in power, another shutdown looming, and a host of urgent issues that need our focus, I want to hear from you about what we need to prioritize. Can you fill out our priorities survey to let me know what’s on your mind?
