You might have seen it in the headlines, but it's a reality. Every day, hundreds of children across the United States are denied lunch at school because their families can't pay.

It’s disgusting that children are forced to go hungry at school in one of the richest countries in the world. Dozens of countries have surpassed us in this area, offering free meals to all students, regardless of their family’s economic status. Children can't focus on getting a quality education when they're hungry. We need to support all students and set them up for success.

The United States should be a leader when it comes to the rights of children and ending the hunger crisis. Third graders shouldn't be facing debt in the lunch line.
