A Cornell University student was arrested and charged with making threats against Jewish students on the campus, as new ADL data revealed a concerning and sharp increase in antisemitic incidents at universities across the country. ADL’s CEO and other Jewish leaders attended a White House meeting with Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff and Deputy Education Secretary Cindy Marten to discuss rising antisemitic incidents on campus and in K-12 schools. Following up on the release of the annual FBI report on hate crimes, Bureau Director Christopher Wray warned members of Congress that antisemitism is reaching historic levels.
