This coming Tuesday, we’ve got a big opportunity to advance
reproductive freedom.
Ohioans are voting on a ballot measure that would enshrine the right to an
abortion in their state constitution. Early voting is already happening,
and it’s crunch time before Election Day, so I’ll get right to it:
[ [link removed] ]Can you make a donation to Ohioans United for Reproductive Rights as
they work to get out the vote? Every donation makes a difference in these
powerfully important final days.
Time and time again, we’ve seen that when abortion rights are on the
ballot, abortion rights win. We saw it in Kansas last year. We saw it in
Michigan last year. And we can see it in Ohio this year — but these
victories are only possible when we give these fights everything we’ve
got, up until the very last second, to reach every possible voter.
This is the work that we are called to do. Now that right-wing extremists
on the Supreme Court have ripped away the federal right to an abortion, we
have to protect our freedoms one state at a time — sometimes through
legislation, and sometimes through referendums like the one on the ballot
in Ohio.
I’m still furious that a handful of out-of-touch radicals have put us in
this position and put women’s lives at risk. And I’m still determined to
fight back.
[ [link removed] ]If you are too, and if you can make a financial contribution at this
time, please pitch in to support Ohioans United for Reproductive Rights
and help get out the vote ahead of Tuesday’s election.
Thanks for being a part of this,
Elizabeth
P.S. Tell everyone you know in Ohio to vote yes on Issue 1. Person to
person, we can win this.
