Droves of bees are dropping dead. Neonicotinoid pesticides that kill bees are an ever-present threat. Lawns, gardens, farms and even parks use toxic neonics and can be deadly for bees.1

We can't let bees disappear forever.

Bees are our most important pollinators. Bees deserve a better life, one in which they can fly through fields of flowers that aren't contaminated with toxic chemicals.

One of the best ways we can help save the bees is to end the worst uses of neonicotinoids. Environment Colorado has a plan to save the bees:

• Convince major companies to stop selling bee-killing pesticides. We're calling on Amazon and Walmart to take neonics off their shelves. We're also calling on Bayer, a major pesticide manufacturer, to stop making neonics in the first place.
• Limit the use of neonic-coated seeds. We're working to close an Environmental Protection Agency loophole that leaves pesticide-coated seeds unregulated. We're also calling on our governor to ban the toxic seeds.
• Build support for a nationwide ban on neonics. We'll continue educating decision-makers about the importance of bees and the threat of bee-killing pesticides. Our ultimate goal is to convince our federal government to ban neonics altogether.

These plans are ambitious, and we need your support to continue our work to save the bees. Colorado has already limited some of the worst uses of neonics, but there's plenty more to do to protect bees.
